The Bay has done some major renovations over the past few years – not only to their stores but to their brand as well. The Room at the Toronto flagship store is a major attraction for fashion lovers and those looking for inspiration. Suburban stores have been getting a face lift to both the infrastructure as well as the assortment of contemporary brands that are featured. Selection is widening and shop-in-shops are perfect for browsing through your favourite designers.
From Bonnie’s oddly enjoyable radio commercials to the stylish Olympic gear – The Bay is making Canada proud once again by re-gaining existing customers who were reluctant to shop their messy racks, attracting new ones that would not even consider the store as a shopping destination, and truly becoming a fashion mecca that is keeping shoppers closer to home.
There have been talks about The Bay limiting their housewares selection due to under-performing results in exchange for bringing in even more brands and selection of women’s and men’s fashions. They have not yet released what these brands will be.
The newest and most exciting news is that The Bay has announced they will have its own shop in Terminal 1 of Pearson International Airport this October! The shop will carry selection from HBC’s signature collection including towels, bathing suits and blankets with their iconic stripes.
At the airport and forgot a gift for a loved one far away? Give an iconic blanket instead of maple syrup and you will definitely be invited back.
